Lighthouse Communications handles all business transactions as follows: Online Payments: Merchant Services, Venmo & PayPal; Cash/Check On Delivery or Pick-Up (C.O.D.) ID Required! Prepayment on all sales/rentals is necessary. You can also open a Lighthouse Communication Credit Account (Net 10 Days/Credit Card Secured).
Terms Of Sale:
1. A $25.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
2. All sales for event radios and other equipment are final. Refused/Returned packages will incur freight charges plus a 15% restocking fee.
3. All custom orders, including translation services, are final, and no returns will be accepted.
1 - THE CUSTOMER SHALL — By renting equipment from Lighthouse Communications, including two-way radios and walkie talkies, the Customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions:
(a) Collect the Equipment from a Lighthouse Communications representative or premises at the beginning of the rental and return it there at the end, unless delivery is arranged.
(b) Pay the said hire/rent in advance upon collection or delivery of the Equipment / weekly in advance / immediately upon termination of the rental.
(c) Use the Equipment only for its intended purpose.
(d) Maintain the Equipment in the same working condition and appearance as received; if not, pay the Owner on demand for repairs.
(e) In the event of loss of the Equipment or any item, pay the Owner the replacement cost as indicated in the Schedule here.
(f) Not part with possession of the Equipment or any item.
(g) Not attempt to assign the benefit of this agreement.
(h) Immediately advise the Owner of the whereabouts of the Equipment upon request.
(i) Not pledge the Equipment or allow it to be taken in execution.
(j) Return the Equipment to Lighthouse Communications representative or premises on the termination date of the rental, or pay the Owner damages for each subsequent day equivalent to the hire/rent payable.
(k) Responsibility for insurance and liability for loss or damage to equipment rests entirely with the customer.
2 - This agreement may be terminated immediately (without prejudice to any antecedent claim of the Owner), and the Goods may be repossessed by the Owner under certain conditions, such as bankruptcy or breach of agreement by the customer.
3 - The Hirer/Customer hereby declares:
(a) That he is eighteen years of age or older.
(b) That he is legally entitled to enter into this agreement, whether on behalf of himself or on behalf of others, including a limited company, with full authority to do so.
SETTLEMENT TERMS: Unless specified otherwise on the invoice, settlement terms are strictly net 30 days. Accounts become overdue thereafter. The Company reserves the right to charge interest on any overdue account at the rate of 10% per month.
The Company will also be entitled to reimbursement of all external costs and expenses reasonably incurred in enforcing its rights under this clause, including agency and legal fees, whether incurred before or after legal proceedings.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION: If requested, we will deliver the Equipment, including walkie rentals in Los Angeles, to you at a local address. We will use a postal or courier service that insures the Equipment and requires a signature upon delivery. The Equipment becomes the responsibility of the Customer upon receipt. The Equipment must be returned to Lighthouse Communications using a 'signed-for' and suitably insured postal or courier service. The Equipment remains the responsibility of the Customer until it is received at Lighthouse Communications premises.
